Alicia Ventura has a degree History Art, a Master in Cultural Management from ESADE and Pompeu Fabra University and she is musician too.

Independent curator and director of artistic projects. Artistic director of the Alhambra Cervezas Emerging Art Award, which has presented the results of its second edition at ARCO 2018.

Curator and advisor of the Arteria DKV Program and director of the DKV Art Collection, she also directs the artistic project of the DKV Integralia Foundation and the cuidArt project of the Marina Salud de Denia Hospital, where she has specialized in Art and Health topics, directing from its beginnings the “International Congress of Art and Health Spaces”. Within the framework of these programs he has curated dozens of exhibitions; Among the most recent: Nature and artifice in the Lonja de Zaragoza, Inadvertent Architecture in the MACA of Alicante, Panorama of Goods and Services at Denia Hospital and more than thirty samples on topics of Art and Health.

Likewise, she has developed as an independent curator more than 90 exhibitions and multiple collective and individual projects. Among them are the exhibitions of individual artists such as Marina Nuñez, Pablo Palazuelo, Tàpies or collectives such as Lo Audio-visual, focused on Sound Art. She is a specialist in the study of private collections where she has curated different samples with funds from collections such as Los Bragales, Carlos Rosón, Olor Visual, etc.

She has also been a gallery owner in Barcelona, coordinator of the Loop video art fair in Barcelona in her first two editions, exhibition director of the City Forum.

Since 2004 she owns a cultural management company, Gestión Arte Ventura, which develops different artistic projects domestically and internationally, specializing in contemporary art and issues related to Art and Health. She belongs to the Board of Laboral City of Culture of Gijón. Shee regularly teaches courses and conferences and has an extensive bibliography of articles and publications.
